Ax Odycy Hotel - St. Paul's Bay

The hotel was fairly clean with dedicated and best staff on shift. We enjoyed absolutely superb and delicious breakfast with many options, offered by the venue.

All in all everything was first-class, had a just perfect stay of the nicest holidays we have had. Enjoyed our comfort queen room with balcony. The breakfast was delicious with bacon, cheese, potatos, and the bistro bar was a plus.

Good price (incl. Good English breakfast ... but every day the same offer without any variation), clean, ideal location for exploring the Malta and Gozo island via rental car or cheap hop-on-hop-off-bus. Nice small pool. Generally: 3 stars in Malta equal to good 3 stars in Austria / Germany. Guter Preis (inkl. gutem typischem englischen Fruehstueck ... aber jeden Tag das selbe ohne jegliche Variation), sauber, ideal um Malta und Gozo mit Mietwagen oder guenstigem hop-on-hop-off-bus zu erkunden. Netter kleiner Pool. Generell: 4 Sterne in Malta sind vergleichbar mit guten 3 Sternen in Oesterreich / Deutschland.

Rooms with sea view: noise from traffic and very loud music disturbs especially during night (bars located directly opposite). Windows and walls with leak and poor isolation (heat in the morning, loud music during night). Zimmer mit Meerblick: Speziell während der Nacht beeinträchtigen Verkehr sowie die sehr laute Musik (Bars direkt gegenüber). Fenster und Wände schlecht isoliert (Hitze in der Früh, laute Musik in der Nacht).

Location is excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had a sea view room with a balcony, the views were stunning and the balcony caught the sunshine all day. Well worth the extra cost! The room was spacious, very clean, towels changed as required. Sheets changed twice a week. Fantastic pool, very clean plenty sunbeds and entertainment during the day. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis. Breakfast was served in two locations. The food was plentiful and there was sufficient variety to suit all tastes. Late check-out was available at an extra cost of €20 - money well spent if you have a late flight. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at SeaShells Resort at Suncrest

The main dinning room gets very busy at breakfast. Difficult sometimes to find a free table and long queues for food and beverages.

The location of the hotel is very good, close to the sea and to public transportation. The pool is very nice with salty water, but maybe too small for the number of guests in the hotel since all of them are using the pool and only few are going to the sea for swimming. We paid for an economy room and pleasantly surprised when we got a room with a sea view and a balcony, probably a good luck :-)

The air-conditioning in the whole hotel is not efficient, corridors are very warm and it is especially hot inside the elevators. The hotel is saving on a lot of things but they should not save on air-conditioning if they want to keep 4 stars. The hotel has many, many rules that have to be followed and these rules are only good for them and very limiting for the guests. For an example, the air-conditioning in the rooms during the day is set to 30 degrees with an explanation that all of the guests are using the pool at that time. You will have to wait until 10pm if you need to stay in an air-conditioned room. The pool will close at 6 pm which is the best time in July to be by the pool; the explanation is that the guests need to prepare for the dinner. There is a Wi-Fi Internet but you have to pay 2.5eur per hour. The refrigerator is set to 15 degrees which is good enough only for drinks, don’t keep anything else inside or read the information on the package fist.

Position of the hotel being directly next to the sea made it an ideal place for a relaxing stay. Friendly, helpful staff.

Beds are comfy

there are no empty wall plug sockets to charge you mobile phone, camera ecc...

Had a fantastic stay! The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options and local delicacies. The indoor pool was nice and warm—perfect for relaxation. The outdoor pool area is great for kids with slides.. I would definitely go back.

The rooms are very small

Staff is great and very welcome. Great value for money. Children can play and enjoy themselves in outdoor and indoor pools while parents can relax. Also location is great and very good restaurants can be found in 150m distance.

Location was excellent as beside the coast and the main tourist street around the corner, Beautiful coastal walk in front of hotel. Bus stop outside hotel that will bring you to other areas of island and hop on, hop off tours.

Safety deposit box in lobby, which required waiting on staff to bring you to use it. Limited selection of draughts in bar. Fridge in room very noisy and only goes to 15 degree celcius. Noise started approx 8am due to workmen in hotel, felt this should have been left to later in morning. However, at least they carry out repairs quickly rather than letting hotel deteriorate.

Nice spot for a fam getaway

The hotel was v clean and we had a great time at the pool bar. The staff were super friendly, even surprised me on my b-day! Only bummer was the air con wasn't great, felt hot in the room sometimes. It was a solid stay!

The property is cool, it has attentive and caring staff with the service recieved by the hotel staff. The room is neat and includes a huge bathroom. The location is stunning, 2 km from Bird Park Malta.

Seawiew, big swimming pool and water slide, nice entertainment very good people environment (no screaming people) perfect for relaxing

We enjoyed our stay with the kids, especially the great water slides and the rich breakfast options. The outdoor pool and beach access were fantastic for relaxing after our busy days. The only downside was that the room fridge didn’t keep things cold enough, but overall, we had a wonderful time! 😊
